Our exacting profile could only be met if the shoot was situated within
easy reach of a major international airport, having suitably hilly topography
and the ideal habitat for the indiginous Alectoris Rufa (the famed Spanish
Perdix), only then could this exceptional game bird be shown in its true
glory.
The Mira al Tajo Estate fulfilled these demands and " Club de la Perdiz
de Cienvalles " was born in 2001.
Since that time the founders have fine tuned the many drive options to
perform in all weather conditions. The continual fine tuning has been a
resounding success, producing partridges that fly with spectacular fashion,
and in numbers that challenge some of the UK's finest shots !
Once having settled our membership programme, a number of days are usually available for prospective future members who would like to join as associates.

The ownership and the tall birds are the only English aspect
of the shoot. Previously a bloodstock ranch (Finca) breeding and
raising fighting bulls, the Estate is run by Ignazio de la Maza
Ybarra in the finest Spanish tradition of hospitality and style.
The Shooting Lodge, splendidly furnished and enjoying wonderful
views from a hilltop position, reflects the meticulous standard
of quality that is apparent throughout the Estate. Incorporating
an armoury, changing room, boot room, sun terrace and bar, alongside
a magnificent open plan dining room with adjoining seating area;
provides the relaxed style and ambience that has become the Club's
hallmark of distinction.
We suggest that your accommodation is booked by us in either Chinchon
or Aranjuez, as our experience has been that a central Madrid hotel
location can seriously affect the shooting programme through traffic
delays.
